Research
In 2014, Dr. Sebastiaan van der Bent began his PhD research into complications related to tattoos. Since then, he has conducted numerous studies on, among other topics, tattoo and permanent make-up (PMU) complications, laser treatments, skin reactions following vaccinations, and skincare.
He is the first—and currently the only—researcher in the Netherlands to have obtained a PhD on this subject. His thesis
